Designed for the table.
A restaurant menu has a practical job: help someone find what they want, comfortably and quickly. For Casa Antica in Heiligenblut, I developed a print layout that brings the restaurant's identity into that everyday experience.
01 / THE BRIEF
Create a menu that feels coherent with the brand and works in a busy restaurant. Readability, page structure, and physical handling matter as much as its first impression.
02 / THE SYSTEM
Clear sections, a consistent type hierarchy, and deliberate spacing guide the eye. Dish names, descriptions, and prices each have their own place, so a page stays calm even when it contains a lot of information.
03 / FROM LAYOUT TO PRINT
The design was built around a physical menu holder. Margins, binding space, alignment, and export settings were considered together, with the final assembled object in mind. The layout system was developed in Affinity Publisher with supporting vector work.
04 / THE RESULT
A complete menu prepared for everyday restaurant use. The project connects visual identity with the less glamorous details that make print work: proportions, consistency, legibility, and a reliable file setup.
THE DETAIL THAT MATTERS
Good print design works at arm's length, under real lighting, in someone's hands.
