This project involved the complete design and preparation of a restaurant menu for Casa Antica in Heiligenblut. The goal was to create a menu that is not only visually aligned with the brand, but also practical for everyday use in a real restaurant environment.
The process started with understanding how the menu will be used physically. This included layout planning, page structure, spacing, and readability under different lighting conditions. The design needed to be clear, easy to navigate, and comfortable to read while still maintaining a strong visual identity.
I developed the full layout system from scratch, including typography hierarchy, content organization, and visual balance across all pages. Special attention was given to print preparation, ensuring correct margins, alignment, and export settings so the final result works perfectly when produced and assembled.
The menu was designed to fit into a physical holder, which introduced additional constraints such as spacing, binding, and durability. These real-world limitations played a key role in shaping the final design decisions.
This project is a strong example of combining visual design with practical execution, where the final result is not just a concept, but a fully functional product used in a live environment.
